Zero-carbon housing
The City of London is about to call for tenders from building developers for the UK’s first zero-carbon housing project, details in the FT here.
“Ken Livingstone, London mayor, will invite bids to build about 200 high-quality homes on a three-acre site at Gallions Park, Albert Docks in east London. Tight restrictions will require the successful bidder to use the most modern construction and energy technology to ensure the scheme produces almost no carbon emissions.”
