The folks at Celcias have posted some thoughts about the global weather during 2007.   Prominent among the predictions is a return of the El Nino weather phenomenon, in which variations in surface sea-water temperatures in the Pacific Ocean cause turbulent weather patterns further afield.   Turbulent weather patterns translate into unpredictable demand levels for energy and, and hence volatility in carbon emissions and in prices for carbon emission permits.
