Inuits’ petition against US government

The BBC has reported that a legal petition has been filed against the US government by the Inuit Circumpolar Conference (ICC).

The ICC has claimed that lax US emission policy is a major cause of increasing temperatures in the Arctic, which has so far reduced fish stocks and the collapse of some buildings.
While these effects seem relatively minor, there is worse to come - The Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report took four years to compile and forecasts that the region will warm by four to seven degrees Celsius by the end of the century, with summer sea ice disappearing within 60 years.
