Increased rise in temperatures predicted

Professor Sir David King, the Chief Scientific Advisor to the British Government, has said in a BBC radio interview that global temperatures are likely rise by 3 degrees Celcius, with consequences of drought, famine, water-stress and death.   His forecast is based on new computer modeling undertaken by the UK Meteorological Office’s Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research, and contrasts with the official EU and UK forecast of 2 degrees C.  The BBC report is here.
