Green Intentions Are Not Enough

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has found that a third of UK businesses lack formal plans regarding becoming more environmentally friendly, despite the majority having good intentions.

Mike Low, director of BSI said:

“It is encouraging to see that companies recognise the social and business benefits of going green but we have clearly got some way to go.”
“None of us can afford to wait another 10 years when advice and guidance based on years of business experience is readily available to use now.”

So some companies appear to need encouragement - but what form should it take?
It’s agreed that “money talks”, so will fines (or perhaps rewards) have the desired/required effects?
