A 64 billion-dollar market

The World Bank estimates that the global carbon emissions market was worth US$ 64 billion in 2007, of which $50 billion was the value of trades in emissions permits — on the European ETS, in New South Wales, Australia, and on the Chicago Climate Exchange.    The full report is available here.
