IPCC, economic expertise and dissent

Clive Crook has an interesting article in today’s FT about the absence of non-scientific expertise, and the dismissal of dissenting views, by the panjandrums of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC):

A Reuters article reports that the UK Government has launched a website that allows you to compare the emissions of any car before you buy, if that could influence your decision.
The website “Best on CO2” created their ranking system with What Car? magazine.

BMW is considering a new low-end vehicle to comply with carbon emissions reduction regulations.

According to a report in the FT, UBS is planning to launch a new automated trading fund for commodities.
