UK to auction permits?

The UK Government is considering auctions of emissions allocations in the second phase of the emissions trading scheme (2008-2012), according to today’s FT.  The rules of the ETS permit national Governments to auction up to 10% of their national emissions quota.

EC 2005 ETS data released

The EC today released officially the 2005 CO2 emissions data and compliance status of the organizations covered by the Emissions Trading Scheme, available from here.
