UK abandons courtcase

The UK Government has abandoned its legal battle with the EC aiming to increase its overall carbon emission allocation by 20m tonnes in Phase 1 of the ETS.  The reason given was “in the interests of establishing certainty”, according to the Financial Times (2006-04-29).
